This environmentally friendly lifestyle development is comprised of three distinct zones: The Water Network, The Green Network, and The Public Realm Dubai Water Canal is an artificial water canal unveiled on 2 October 2013 and inaugurated on 9 November 2016. The canal side-walk comprises one shopping center, four hotels, 450 restaurants, luxury housing, walkways, and cycle paths. Dubai Canal width ranges from 80 meters to 120 meters. It is six meters deep and also has five pedestrian bridges, each one of them accompanied by 4 pedestrian/bicycle elevators made using Aluminium Glass Stick & Unitized Curtain wall system and Point Fixed Glazing Systems. It creates new public places and facilities with a total area of 80,000 square meters with private marinas for boats and a trade center at the entrance of the canal. This canal is one of the best urban transformations in the city of Dubai. Adjacent to its waterfront, St Regis, the W hotel, and a plethora of lifestyle precincts have been developed. This new addition to Emirates significantly turns the land into an island. The entire project was completed at AED 2.7 billion. This impressive undertaking has reached a high benchmark. It is one of the busiest areas of Dubai within a span of just three years from its launch.
